It’s wild how a skill as simple as Shield Bash can turn into such a powerhouse when you really commit to it. Lexd’s self-found Warrior run wasn’t about fancy clears or constant explosions—it was about patience, timing, and pure grit. The key was PoE 2 Currency upgrades that made the whole strategy shine. Holding up Raise Shield to block, then releasing at just the right moment for a bash that scales with your shield’s armor—that’s the heartbeat of the build. Early on, Act 1 felt like a slog, but once Act 2 rolled around, the damage and survivability took off. Pin helped keep packs in check at first, but swapping to Brutality II and Bleed changed everything, turning big bosses into slow, inevitable victories.

The passive tree route stayed simple—straight through the lower-left, loading up on stun threshold nodes so you weren’t locking yourself in place every time enemies hit back. After that, it was armor, block chance, and life, with thorns adding a sneaky layer of offense. Every block sent damage back at attackers, chipping away at mobs without lifting a finger. It’s a build where the defense is the offense, and the only flashy thing about it is how fast bosses start melting when everything clicks.

Being self-found meant every gear upgrade felt like opening a birthday present. The jump from a 93-armor shield to a 192-armor monster doubled bash damage overnight. Crafting amulets and rings with thorns made clearing smaller enemy packs almost passive—they’d swing, they’d hit, and they’d just… drop. By the end of Act 2, gear with solid life and resistances had turned Lexd into an absolute fortress. While others chase crazy DPS spikes, this setup was about total control and outlasting anything in the game.

Boss fights were where the real tension lived. Wrathbreaker and Rattlecage fell easily to the block-and-bash rhythm, but Zalmarath the Colossus dragged into a 22-minute slugfest. Every second was about reading patterns, sneaking in safe bashes, and letting bleed plus thorns do their work. The Kabala Constrictor Queen fight was the same—slow, steady, no room for mistakes. This build proved something most players overlook: with the right timing, positioning, and a commitment to survival, Shield Bash isn’t a gimmick. It’s a legit way to tackle the nastiest fights in Path of Exile 2, especially if you’re smart enough to lean on poe2 currency buy when the right opportunity comes up.
